The Social Awareness Project

Inspired by Atticus Finch's advice in Harper Lee's To Kill a Mockingbird to "climb into [someone else's] skin and walk around in it" and his actions that show that we should stand up for each other even in the face of adversity, high school freshman English students each decided on a cause to research and write about in order to help increase awareness around the topic and to encourage people to look beyond themselves to find a way to stand together to improve our neighborhood, nation, and world.
