A Problem With the World - Abortion
According to Facts About Abortion, “Over one million abortions happen a year in the United States.” Abortion is something that is wrong that is going on in the world today and it should be abolished. The murder of innocent babies an evil thing and it should not be allowed. Abortion is the murder of these innocent children who never even get the chance to live their lives. If murder is illegal why is abortion not? Murder is wrong, period, whether it is a full-grown person or an innocent baby who was never even seen daylight. Abortion has impacted many potential lives that could have shaped our world greatly. Pope John Paul II is one person who is an excellent example. He was almost aborted and if he would have been, the world would have lacked an excellent man and an amazing influence. The National Right to Life is a perfect example of an organization fighting for the greater good and against abortion. Abortion is completely wrong and needs to be stopped.
Bio.com published an article featuring the life of Pope John Paul II. Abortion is completely wrong and every single baby should have the chance to live their lives to the fullest. One great example of someone who was almost aborted was Pope John Paul II. When Pope John Paul II’s mother first went into the doctor to discuss her pregnancy, she was told to abort her baby. Her doctor told her this because of a past child she delivered who unfortunately died shortly after it’s birth. “Pope John Paul II’s mother decided to go against her doctor’s orders because she felt that her child at least deserved the chance to live.” If she would have obeyed her doctor’s orders, the world would have lacked one of the greatest Popes in history. Pope John Paul II was born May 18th, 1920 and became Pope in 1978. Pope John Paul II was the leader of the Catholic church for over twenty-five years. During his life as Pope, he was a vocal advocate for human rights and heavily used his influence to affect political change. When Pope John Paul II passed away on April 2nd of 2005, not only did the Catholic church lose one of its greatest leaders, the world lost a great man who fought for equality and human rights. In April of 2014, Pope John Paul II was patronized as a Saint.
