Unwasted Potential
As many as eighty percent of people these days are finding themselves stuck in jobs they don’t like, in situations they didn’t plan for, and in places they didn’t want to go. Without a proper outlet for all of the potential that all human beings have, many of them are going down a deep and dark rabbit hole. Those with creative minds find that their ideas are not appreciated, and those with “high potential” are not using it. This creates a world in which many people’s ideas, creativity, and personality are not being valued or fully utilized. Anyone in this world could be an untapped Einstein, Picasso, Da Vinci, or Gandhi without any knowledge of it, and this leads to a lacking relationship between what one does and what one could do. Answers to world problems such as hunger, thirst, disease, and climate change could be gone with the wind or six feet under because a few people didn’t have access to the tools they needed to fulfill their dreams. Whether a person is the next world leader or not is irrelevant; everyone deserves at the very least to be the leader of his or her own life, and everyone is a leader simply by doing what matters to them. By doing what matters to him or her, an individual shows the rest of the world that it is okay to be different, and an individual creates the start of a revolution that has the power to change the rest of the world, one person at a time.
At school, Walter O’Brien was no ordinary kid. For every one question another kid would ask, he had ten. As a kid, he knew he was different, but until he took an IQ test in elementary school, he had no idea why. Walter O’Brien’s IQ turned out to be 197, one of the fourth largest in the world. He lived with his parents and four siblings on a farm in a small town in Ireland. When he was nine, he got his first computer, and at age 13 he hacked NASA for a shuttle’s blueprints that he had planned to post on his bedroom wall. Also at 13, he created Scorpion Computer Services, a company that has since assisted the government numerous times in investigations and casualty prevention. When he was younger, Walter O’Brien was often called upon by local banks and businesses in Ireland to handle any technical difficulties, as the nearest computer technician was far away and cost a lot of money. As his business grew, he realized he needed more help fulfilling the requests, and he hired his friends, whom also had IQ’s of over 150, to help him. Soon after, he was awarded an EB 1 - 1 visa, or an extraordinary abilities visa, to come to the U.S. because he was of national interest. He settled in L.A. and realized that because he no longer had to worry about making enough money to pay the rent, he could focus on more important ideas, such as who he was and what impact he wanted to have on the world. One of the results of such thinking was Concierge Up, an offshoot of Scorpion that focuses on making the ambiguous dreams of funded individuals a reality. Since then, Scorpion and Concierge Up have solved hundreds of problems and have saved countless lives in many dire situations, some of which still remain classified to this day. In the creation of Scorpion Computer Services and Concierge Up, Walter O’Brien has provided intelligence on demand to those who ask for it and has allowed the mentally enabled to have a home and safe place to reach their full, undeniable potential.

It does not matter what people think, how long one has to live, how old someone is, or where a person comes from; the only factor that matters is what somebody chooses to do with the time they have left. Nobody is coming, motivation is not striking, and nobody is ever going to feel like chasing after his or her dreams. Human beings only have so many years on this planet, and now is the time for them to start doing what matters to them. Scott Dinsmore urges people to ask themselves, “What is something I can’t not do?” Finding that one job that is impossible to live without is an amazing feeling, and it is a feeling that everyone deserves. “It is not in the stars to hold our destiny, but in ourselves” -William Shakespeare.
