Over seventeen million people die from infectious diseases every year. People who we die from disease and virus. 2.7% of the world’s deaths, or 1.5 million people, died from AIDS/HIV. My mother died from a rare form of heart disease. People deserve the chance to live a long, healthy life without worry of dying from disease or viruses.

In the article from U.S news and world report, written by Anna Medaris Miller Michelle Anderson is HIV-positive. She first told this to her bike team made up of over one hundred people. She then came out as HIV-positive on Facebook. She was diagnosed in 1999 and at the time she thought there was no point in trying any more. Eight years later when she moved into a house for people with HIV she has become an advocate for women with AIDS and HIV. She has written a blog called A Girl Like Me..She is not the only one that has HIV as a woman, there are around 217,000 woman that have HIV. She is one of the few to take her life into her own hands and make it worthwhile.

The World Health Organization, WHO, was made to help all countries around the world with their health issues including, outbreaks, viruses, illnesses, poisons, pandemics and many more health related issues. This organization was made to help people by the United Nations and is dedicated to keeping healthy people healthy. This Organization is accepting donations and is also being payed for by all the member countries. The WHO also has jobs but only for people with a high skill level in certain topics. The World Health Organization has taken down many very deadly diseases and will continue to do so.

The topic of World health is important because it affects everyone. Many people around the world are dying and the only thing we are able to do is to help solve the problems that some people are not able to.
